Social Investigations/Child Custody Evaluation
What is a Social Investigation/Child Custody Evaluation?
A social investigation is a impartial professional evaluation of the lives of the parents and the relationship between the parents and the minor child(ren). It is common for the investigator to interview the parents, children, and other persons involved in the children's lives.
At the conclusion of the evaluation the investigator submits a written report to the courts and the parties involved.
To start a social investigation there is a required retainer of $2500. The hourly rate is $125/hr. Any unused funds will be returned at the completion of the case. The total fee varies in each case and ultimately depends on the complexity of the case.
